Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-08-17
These Terms govern your use of JukeLingo. By creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Section 13 contains a binding arbitration clause and a class-action waiver. By accepting these Terms you agree to resolve disputes individually through arbitration, not in court, except for the carve-outs listed there. You may opt out within 30 days of first acceptance — see section 13(d).
1. Acceptance and minimum age
You must be at least 18 years old to use JukeLingo. By accepting these Terms you represent that you are 18 or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter this agreement.
2. The service
JukeLingo produces translated documents formatted for USCIS, DMV, university admissions, travel, and similar uses. Our certification language is designed to comply with 8 CFR §103.2(b)(3).
JukeLingo produces translated documents through its proprietary translation workflow, which combines commercial language-processing technology, JukeLingo's own formatting and quality-control systems, and, depending on the service tier you select, human review. The third-party technology providers used in this workflow are listed at /subprocessors. On Standard and Express plans, you (or a bilingual person you designate) sign the pre-filled certification — you are the certifying party for purposes of the USCIS regulation. On the Pro plan, a JukeLingo translator reviews and signs the certification.
3. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your magic-link login email secure. JukeLingo authenticates via emailed sign-in links — anyone with access to your email inbox can sign in as you. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect your email has been compromised.
4. Documents you upload
By uploading a document you represent and warrant that:
- You either own the document or have permission from the rights holder to translate it.
- The document is not falsified, forged, or known by you to contain false information.
- The document does not violate any law or infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
You are responsible for ensuring that documents you upload are complete, legible, accurate, and the document you actually intend to have translated. JukeLingo translates what you submit; we do not independently verify your documents against any external source or original.
You retain ownership of your documents. By uploading, you grant JukeLingo a non-exclusive, limited license to process, translate, store, and deliver the documents back to you for the purpose of providing the service.
5. Pricing and payment
Prices are displayed at checkout in U.S. dollars and are final once payment is confirmed. Pricing is per page, flat on every plan, and the exact total for your order is shown before payment. We may change prices at any time; price changes apply only to orders placed after the change.
6. Refunds
Refund eligibility is governed by the JukeLingo Translation Guarantee. The 100% refund / redo guarantee applies to Pro orders. Standard and Express orders are ready-to-sign — the signer is the party USCIS holds accountable for the certification, so refund requests on those tiers are evaluated individually based on factors including the nature of the rejection, whether the issue is attributable to the translation itself (formatting, certification wording, or a demonstrable translation error) versus to the signer or other filing factors outside our control, the timing of the request, and the documentation provided. See the Refund Policy for the full criteria and claim process.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to translate documents you know to be falsified or fraudulent
- Submit fraudulent or misleading certifications, or use the service to produce documents intended to deceive USCIS, the DMV, a university, a court, or any other government agency, educational institution, employer, or reviewing authority
- Upload content that infringes any third party's intellectual property, trade secrets, or other rights
- Use the service in any way that violates U.S. immigration law or any other applicable law
- Attempt to access accounts, orders, or data that don't belong to you
- Use automation, scraping, or scripted clients against the service beyond what our public APIs allow
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the service
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service
8. DMCA / copyright takedown
If you believe content uploaded to JukeLingo infringes your copyright, our DMCA takedown procedure is published at /dmca. JukeLingo maintains a repeat-infringer policy: accounts with multiple substantiated infringement claims will be terminated.
9. SMS and email communications (TCPA)
If you opt in to SMS notifications, you consent to receive transactional text messages from JukeLingo at the number you provide. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency depends on your order activity. Reply STOP to cancel at any time; reply HELP for help. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchase.
By providing your email address, you consent to receive transactional emails (order confirmations, delivery notifications, support replies). If you opt in to marketing emails, you may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.
10. Disclaimers
JukeLingo provides translations. We are not your lawyer. The translation is not legal advice, and our involvement does not guarantee that USCIS, the DMV, a university, or any other authority will accept your filing. Acceptance depends on factors outside the translation itself — the underlying petition, the reviewing officer's discretion, documentary evidence, immigration status, and other criteria we cannot influence.
No translation process is error-free. You are responsible for reviewing the translation before submitting it to any authority. Standard and Express signers in particular: review the translation and the certification carefully before signing.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JukeLingo's total liability to you under any order or arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you actually paid for that order. JukeLingo is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages. In those jurisdictions, the above limitations apply to the extent permitted.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JukeLingo, its operators, and its contractors from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) content you upload or submit; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or third-party right; or (d) your use of the service in any way that violates these Terms.
13. Binding arbitration and class-action waiver
Read this section carefully — it affects your legal rights.
(a) Mandatory arbitration. You and JukeLingo agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the service will be resolved exclusively by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The arbitration will be conducted in English. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
(b) Class-action waiver. You and JukeLingo waive any right to bring or participate in a class action, collective action, mass action, consolidated action, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims and may not preside over any form of representative or class proceeding.
(c) Carve-outs. Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court instead of arbitration if it qualifies. Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in court to protect intellectual property rights.
(d) 30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" and your account email. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
(e) Severability within arbitration. If any part of this section 13 is found unenforceable, that part will be severed and the rest will remain in effect, except that if the class-action waiver is found unenforceable, the entire arbitration agreement is void. This subsection governs severability within section 13 only; section 18 governs severability for the remainder of these Terms.
14. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. For matters not subject to arbitration under section 13, you and JukeLingo agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas.
15. Termination
You can stop using the service at any time. JukeLingo may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, use the service unlawfully, or for any other reason at our reasonable discretion. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including without limitation the second and third paragraphs of section 4, and sections 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17, and 18) will survive.
16. Force majeure
Neither party will be liable for any failure or delay in performance arising from causes beyond reasonable control, including without limitation acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authority, fire, floods, accidents, pandemics or public-health emergencies, network or infrastructure outages (including outages of the technology providers, cloud platforms, or other subprocessors we rely on), strikes, or shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials. The affected party will make reasonable efforts to resume performance as soon as practicable.
17. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and JukeLingo regarding the service and supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, or understandings, whether oral or written, regarding the same subject matter. No waiver of any provision of these Terms will be effective unless in writing and signed by an authorized representative of JukeLingo, and any such waiver will not constitute a waiver of any other or subsequent breach.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable; or if it cannot be modified, it will be severed. The remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect. This section governs severability for these Terms generally; severability within the arbitration clause is governed separately by section 13(e).
19. Electronic communications and signatures
By using the service, you consent to receive communications from JukeLingo electronically, including by email, in-product notifications, and (if you have opted in) SMS. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
You also agree that your electronic acceptance — including clicking "I agree," checking a consent box, typing your name into a signature field, or proceeding with checkout — constitutes a valid electronic signature under the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN), the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) where applicable, and similar laws, and creates a binding agreement between you and JukeLingo.
20. Export controls and sanctions
You represent that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any country to which the United States has embargoed goods or services; you are not on the U.S. Treasury Department's Specially Designated Nationals list, the U.S. Department of Commerce's Denied Persons list, or any similar list maintained by the U.S. or other governments; and you will not use the service in violation of any U.S. or other applicable export-control or economic-sanctions laws.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date and, where the change materially expands your obligations or limits your rights, we will provide reasonable notice (typically via email to active customers) before the change takes effect.
