    Georgia: block reason strengthened — DDS states it does not accept translated documents at all for license and ID transactions. North Carolina re-confirmed (agency pages updated May 2026); Maine re-confirmed. Connecticut and Nevada re-confirmed: both approved-translator registries are currently closed to new applications; we monitor for reopening. New York re-confirmed for foreign-license translations (consulate or government agency only); its Form ID-44 accepts standard certified translations for other document types.
